Tasting notes
Colour
Deep purple at the core with a vibrant purple hue
Aroma
The wine shows all the Langhorne Creek trademarks of wet ash, mint, charcoal, wet stones and grilled nuts
Palate
The palate takes off with cascading layers of mulberries and plums. This wine comes over a little dense and sweet but after a boatload of fruit and a little oak you are left with a mouthful of fresh fruity tannin
Winemaking
The grapes were crushed into a fermented in open top potters with regular pump overs twice daily to extract colour and tannin. The grapes were then pressed and the wine was transferred to tank and then racked to barrel for oak maturation.
