RIESLING
The Boy was first released in 2012. Sourced from a 98 year old vineyard, this is a distinctive Eden Valley Riesling. The Boy displays exotic aromas, very fine lemon notes and has long-term cellaring potential.
GRENACHE SHIRAZ MATARO
Bouyant raspberry, red cherry characters with a restrained savoury palate, grainy tannins backed by integrated oak. A serious food wine that shows what a wonderful marriage these three varietals make if blended with balance in mind.

Tasting notes
Colour
Deep red
Aroma
Full of fragrant red berries, cassis and blackcurrants, intertwined with floral notes, licorice, old ash and an attractive tobacco leafiness
Palate
The juicy sweet fruit drives through the palate graciously, supported by subtle tobacco, soft acid and fine tannins. Although this wine has lovely ripe characters, it exhibits a high level of femininity.
Winemaking
The fruit was hand-picked and tonnages from this block were minute; the berries were like skins around seeds, with huge amounts of concentration but full of finesse. The fruit was crushed and de-stemmed into an open top fermenter, with time 'on skins' at 21 days. At pressing, both the free run and pressings were combined in tank and then racked to oak.
