This rare non vintage Muscat is aged for over 20 years in barrel, lovingly nurtured over this time to bring you this rich, smooth and definitively elegant fortified.
Anteros is the best Mataro made by Two Hands and only released in the best vintages. Sourced from a very old block in Ebenezer in the Barossa, it displays Mataro's amazing aromatic profile and brilliant dense and firmly packed tannins.
2009 WINDMILL BLOCK
Colour Black to the core and magenta rim
AromaRaspberries, plums, graphite, spice and earth underpinned by subtle oak notes
PalateJuicy yet firm, tight yet long, ripe yet elegant...wow!
Handpicked, destemmed and crushed into small open top fermenters. Gently pumped over 3 times per day through the peak of fermentation. After fermentation, the parcels were tasted daily until optimal structure and flavour harmony were achieved. Each parcel was kept separate with the fermenters being drained individually and their skins pressed with the free run and pressings being combined to tank. After 24 hours the wine was racked to oak where malolactic fermentation occurred. This restrained wine was bottled earlier than anticipated to capture its elegance and upon release is vibrant and long.
