Since our first vintage in 2000, we have sourced Shiraz from vineyards across multiple regions, striving to capture both varietal expression and the distinct characteristics of each terroir. Today, we are thrilled to introduce the 2022 Garden Series collection—and even before you uncork a bottle, you may notice something different.
As Two Hands celebrates 25 years of winemaking, our labels have evolved to mark this new chapter, embracing the uniqueness of each region. For over two decades, the Garden Series wines have been cherished, their names well known to you. Now, we are bringing their stories to life in a new way.
Each label’s colour has always held significance, reflecting the landscapes that shape these wines. Bella’s red symbolises the red-brown earth of the Western Barossa, while Lily’s blue pays homage to McLaren Vale’s coastal influence. Samantha’s yellow mirrors the golden canola fields of Clare Valley, and Charlie’s green evokes the ancient gum trees of Eden Valley. Harriet’s pink captures the breathtaking sunsets of the Adelaide Hills.
Our redesigned labels place a greater emphasis on their names, honouring their connection to the Two Hands family members they were named after and the ‘gardens’ of the grower’s vineyards. Each of the six wines is distinct, with its own personality, and we believe this new design better reflects both their individuality and the regions they represent.
The intricate textile-inspired patterns woven into the wrap-around label take inspiration from the Mount Lofty Ranges, a striking geological formation that runs through South Australia’s key wine regions, from Clare Valley and Barossa to Eden Valley, Adelaide Hills, and McLaren Vale. The flowing pattern on the new labels pays tribute to the undulating hills of this iconic landscape, a visual representation of the terroir that defines the Garden Series wines.
Be reassured, this change isn’t reflected in the wine themselves, it’s about evolution and not revolution. We thank you for your ongoing support and hope you will continue to be part of our journey for years to come.
