Beautiful bright red/black fruits that roll through the palate, balanced well with subtle dried herbs, oak and fine fleshy tannins. Very feminine.
Handpicked, crushed, de-stemmed and fermented in five tonne open top fermenters with regular pump overs three times daily during peak fermentation to extract colour and tannin. Following an average of 15 days “on skins”, the free run was drained to tank and the skins pressed with the pressings being combined in the same tank. After 24 hours, the wine was racked to oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation took place. Minimal fining and unfiltered
