2015 Concordis Shiraz
Concordis is a collaborative winemaking project that unites Barossa Valley producers, Kaesler Wines, Seppeltsfield Winery, Torbreck Vintners, and Two Hands Wines to create a unique cuvée from one tonne of their finest Shiraz grapes each vintage.
On Monday the 23rd February 2015 each winery harvested small parcels of our Estate owned vineyards.
Kaesler Wines: 1140kg from Alte Reben Vineyard, Jenke Road, Seppeltsfield
Seppeltsfield Winery: 1160kg from Wazza’s Block, Seppeltsfield Road, Seppeltsfield
Torbreck Vintners: 1069kg from Descendant Vineyard, Roennfeldt Road, Marananga
Two Hands Wines: 1013kg from Kraehe House Block, Neldner Road, Marananga
The purpose of the initiative is to give back to the region that has been so supportive of the four wineries, with the aim to raise more than $700,000 over the initial four years with all proceeds going to a perpetual education fund through Foundation Barossa.
The fund will then provide ongoing financial support and training opportunities in cellar operations and viticulture for financially disadvantaged, local young people, through two-year traineeships being offered at each of the wineries starting in 2016.
