An elegant style that is typical of the Clare Valley region, characterised by bright lively aromas, subtle fruit flavours and fine grained tannins.
Between Adelaide and the Clare Valley the landscape is sea of golden yellow wheat fields, an obvious choice for this label’s colour.

  • Tasting Notes

    Colour
Deep, dark red with a vibrant, purple hue, tending to black at the core.

    Aroma
Lifted notes of blue-fruited medley (think blueberries and plums) with notes of fragrant Indian ink, high-toned spices and white flowers.

    Palate
Medium to full-bodied, this Shiraz saturates the palate with a wall of fruit, highlighted by notes of blueberry and plum. Well balanced, aided by its refreshing acidity through the mid-palate and its caressing tannins pushing the flavour through the length of the palate. Notes of Indian ink, high-toned spice and fresh-picked white flowers add complexity and interest.

  • Wine Making

Crushed and fermented in three and five tonne open top fermenters with regular pump overs (twice daily over peak fermentation) to extract colour, flavour and tannins.

    Maturation
18 months in 2-6 year old French oak hogsheads and puncheons.

    Cellar Potential
    Up to 15 years
