A Day Late, A Buck Short Fortified Muscat
A Day Late, A Buck Short is one of two fortified Muscats by Two Hands, made from White Frontignac or Muscat Blanc À Petit Grains.
This non-vintage blend is derived from 15-20 year old material together with selected aged barrels crafted at Two Hands over recent years. The wine shows flavours that are rich, smooth and complex, balanced by good acidity.
Lovely tawny with golden green edge
Lifted fresh raisins and nuts with hints of freshly cooked Christmas pudding and sweet spirit, intertwined with soft rancio notes from extended maturation in old oak barrels.
The palate is intense yet soft with characters full of dried fruits, caramel and controlled rancio notes. The flavours and soft sweetness are mouth-coating and roll on, balanced by even and reassuring spirit, good acid vibrancy and fine tannins.
