2023 Barossa Wine Show

The annual Barossa Wine Show, first held in 1977, is seen as a showpiece of the region’s very best wines in any given year. Hundreds of wines are entered in over 25 different classes and judged over three days, with Trophies and Awards presented at a gala dinner. – Barossa Wine

We are very excited to announce that we have picked up two trophies at the 2023 Barossa Wine Show held on Thursday September 14th.

The 2021 Bella’s Garden Barossa Valley Shiraz was awarded The Tanunda House Trophy for Best 2021 Shiraz. And, the 2022 Gnarly Dudes Shiraz took home the Chair’s Selection for the Barossa Cellar, Barons of the Barossa Trophy.

As you can imagine the Barossa Wine Show has a very high level of entries both in terms of quantity and quality. To win one trophy is a fantastic result, but for two of our Shiraz to have picked up awards is an incredible accomplishment for our winemaking team.

Chief Winemaker Richard Langford (pictured below) commented, “I am absolutely over the moon to have won an award for the 2021 Bella’s Garden Shiraz, from one of the best vintages of the last 20+ years. And the fact that the 2022 Gnarly Dudes was selected as the Chairman’s wine and will be displayed in the Barossa Cellar vault is a great achievement. I am very happy that we have two of the best Shiraz in Barossa right now.”

The result for the 2021 Bella’s Garden continues the recent run of great reviews and scores the wines from the 2021 Garden Series have achieved. You can read some of the other recent reviews HERE.

These wines have been recently released in to the cellar door and are available online. We would strongly recommend getting your hands on some soon.
