For The Love Of Shiraz

Two Hands Wines, Shiraz Specialists

Introducing the latest addition to our Cellar Door in Marananga. ‘For The Love of Shiraz’, a newly commissioned piece of artwork made by Adelaide artist, Dan Tomkins.

The original aim of Two Hands was, and still is, to make the best possible Shiraz-based wines from prized growing regions throughout Australia. The intention was to break the mould and showcase the diversity of Australian Shiraz by highlighting regional and vineyard characteristics by allowing the fruit to be the primary feature of the wines.

Michael Twelftree, our Proprietor and Managing Director, was inspired during his recent travels to create a new and exciting art piece to highlight our strong love and passion for Shiraz. Commissioning friend Dan Tomkins, who has illustrated beautiful art of our vineyards and wine labels for us in the past. Dan and MT sat down to think of a fun concept and create a eye catching art piece that greets groups visiting our home in Maranaga.

My inspiration came from sitting in a French Bistro having lunch in Singapore of all places, there was a poster on the wall and I keep looking at it over lunch think, that is super cool, we should try making one for Two Hands. I like the romance of that era and the way they positioned their wines in such a beautiful and colourful way…. something we have lost over the generations.
